Final Fantasy XV Road Trip is a series of browser mini-games sponsored by Amazon. Players can sign up at the Final Fantasy XV Road Trip site to participate. In the weeks leading up to the launch of Final Fantasy XV, a new mainline quest and bonus quest are opened which, upon completion, allows players to obtain exclusive in-game DLC with an Amazon pre-order of Final Fantasy XV. To play the mini-games, players are not required to have pre-ordered Final Fantasy XV, but the pre-order is necessary in order to unlock the in-game DLC items. Players can enter their pre-order code (provided by Amazon) at any time to ensure their DLC arrives via email on Nov 29th.
DLC items[]
The DLC players can earn with the pre-order code includes gear to help along the journey like the Travel Pack, Camera Kit, and Gourmand Set. This also includes three weapons from Final Fantasy's history; the Mage Mashers from Final Fantasy IX, the Blazefire Saber from Final Fantasy XIII, and the Gae Bolg Spear from Final Fantasy XIV.
Quests[]
There are three sets of quests players can complete, a mainline quest and a bonus quest. The mainline quest must be completed in order to unlock the bonus quest. The quests follow Noctis and his friends as they explore the lands of Eos.
Quest 1 - Reapertail Battle[]
Travel Pack and Gae Bolg (FFXIV)

Follow the on screen prompts to take down the enemies.
Tap and Hold - Click on the dot and hold it until the circle completely fills and then move on to the next. Complete all three before the timer runs out.
Tap the Dots - Tap all five of the dots before the timer runs out.
Connect the Dots - Click and hold the first dot and drag the mouse to connect all the dots before the timer runs out.

Players have 5 minutes to find all 6 pieces of the car. Click on "Look Left" or "Look Right" on the sides of the screen to scroll the view.

Promotional code[]
After pre-ordering Final Fantasy XV from Amazon, an email will be sent containing a promotional code to be entered on the official Road Trip site. The timing of the email varies, but it could be any time before 29 November 2016. The email comes from account-update@amazon.com and has a subject line of "Benefit Confirmation for your Order XXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX". The text of the email says:
Thank you for purchasing from Amazon.com. Your recent order XXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX entitles you to a promotional code. Your promotional code: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
The code listed is 16 digits long. Copy the code and open the Road Trip official site. Log in, if necessary, click the Redeem DLC tab in the upper left corner and paste in the code. Once the code has been accepted, the window should say "A code has been linked to your account."
On or after 29 November, return to the official Road Trip site and click the Redeem DLC tab to redeem the unlocked content.
