Purchasing Cup Noodles from the Cup Noodle cart in Lestallum for 220 gil will grant the initial Cup Noodle recipe. Completing Gladiolus' The Perfect Cup Quest will grant the "true" taste recipe, which offers more stat boosts.

Cup Noodles is used in the following recipes:
- Cup Noodles (initial). The only ingredient is Cup Noodles.
- Cup Noodles (The Perfect Cup Quest)
- After completing the quest, the player will be given a Cup Noodle recipe that requires the same ingredient that is procured during the quest: either a Behemoth Round ("meat"), a Glimmering Zu Egg ("egg"), or a Karlabos Carapace ("shrimp"). This recipe grants the same stat boosts as the initial recipe, and is therefor made obsolete after completing the quest.
- Cup Noodles (The Perfect Cup Quest, "true" taste)
- Earned after completing the quest, and it offers better boosts than the initial recipe. The only ingredient is Cup Noodles.

Cup Noodles (initial):
- Attack Boost (3): Increases strength by 30.
- HP Boost (6): Increases maximum HP by 300.
- Favorite Dish: This is one of Gladiolus' favorite dishes. Eating this not only increases the rate at which his Survival skill levels up, but also gives his Techniques in battle a serious boost.
Cup Noodles (post quest or "true" taste):
- Attack Boost (8): Increases strength by 80.
- HP Boost (10): Increases maximum HP by 500.
- Experience Boost (2): Increases experience earned by 20%.
- Favorite Dish: This is one of Gladiolus' favorite dishes. Eating this not only increases the rate at which his Survival skill levels up, but also gives his Techniques in battle a serious boost.
