A master mechanic, Cid can modify machinery to unleash their full potential. If Noctis can round up the right parts, Cid will upgrade weapons like the Drain Lance and Engine Blade. This option is unlocked through the Cid Sophiar, Master Mechanic quest and then A Better Engine Blade.
