Chocobos are an alternate form of transportation in Final Fantasy XV. They can be rented from a Rent-a-Bird and customized at a Chocobo Salon.
Customization[]
Chocobos can be customized, giving them a new name, color, and medal. You can only name Noctis's (the player's) Chocobo, as well as only give "his" Chocobo medals. The other ones ridden by the rest of the party can only be colored. Edit: you can give medals to the other characters chocobo as well, may have been in an update.
Color[]
Use seeds and fruit found in the wild to create dyes to change the chocobo's color. Most of these are acquired through Quests. The following colors are available:
- Yellow
- White
- Honey (Gold)
- Pale Grey
- Turquois
- Ruby
- Lavender
- Sapphire (River)
- Lime (Mountain)
Medals[]
Win chocobo races to earn medals that chocobos can wear.

Greens[]

Chocobo races[]
In chocobo races, the player tries to maneuver in front of their rivals and prevent them from overtaking the player.
Rules[]
- Reach the goal before the other racers.
- The player is disqualified if they stray off the course or fail to pass the checkpoints in order.
