Attributes, or stats, are the characteristics that affect character combat effectiveness. The attributes window can be accessed via the Main Menu in the Gear section.

List of attributes[]

Attribute Description
Attack
Attack Base stat that determines the damage dealt by physical attacks.
Defense
Defense Base stat that determines the damage incurred from enemy physical attacks.
HP
HP Your maximum HP value, when your HP gauge is full.
HP Boost
HP Boost Indicates an increase in maximum health.
MP Boost Indicates an increase in maximum magical energy.
Strength
Strength Affects the damage you deal with physical attacks.
Vitality
Vitality Affects how well you resist physical damage.
Magic
Magic Affects the damage you deal with spells.
Spirit
Spirit Affects how well you resist magic damage.
Fire Resistance
Fire Resistance Factor by which damage incurred from Fire-type attacks is reduced.
Ice Resistance
Ice Resistance Factor by which damage incurred from Ice-type attacks is reduced.
Lightning Resistance
Lightning Resistance Factor by which damage incurred from Lightning-type attacks is reduced.
Dark Resistance
Dark Resistance Factor by which damage incurred from Dark-type attacks is reduced.
Shot Resistance
Shot Resistance Factor by which damage incurred from ballistic attacks is reduced.

Increasing attributes[]

Attributes can be increased by leveling up, with gear, or by eating meals.

Leveling up[]

When a character levels up, they gain permanent attribute increases. These increases are applied automatically.

Gear buffs[]

Gear provides temporary attribute bonuses and can be swapped out to provide situation dependent boosts.

Meal buffs[]

Meals can be eaten at restaurants or while camping and provide temporary attribute bonuses. It is recommended to eat a meal before attempting a difficult fight.
